Product information
Janina Diamond Whitening Toothpaste is an EXTRA STRENGTH FASTER ACTING version of Janina Opale Whitening Toothpaste.

It offers Extra Strength breath control (control of halitosis) and Faster Acting Tooth Whitening without using abrasives.

This is achieved by adding increased amounts of select ingredients contained in the revolutionary Janina Opale Whitening Toothpaste formulation:
  • Enzymes (Bromelaine & Papain)
  • Dicalcium Phosphate
  • Sodium Citrate
  • Tetrapotassium Pyrophosphate
  • Whitening agents
  • Diamond is a thicker paste consistency than Opale because of the 20% extra Dicalcium Phosphate.
The revolutionary formulation, includes 12 active ingredients and the patented Bromain Complex™.

Bromain Complex™ includes a combination of natural enzymes Bromelaine from pineapple and Papain from papaya. The active ingredients, together with the Bromain Complex™, create the safe Cosmeceutical Component Whitening action without abrasion. Unlike other leading brands Janina Diamond Whitening Toothpaste does NOT contain silica (sand) in its formulation.

Noticeable whitening results will be seen when just a pea size amount per brushing of Janina Diamond Whitening Toothpaste is used twice daily, regularly and in place of any other toothpaste. Significant whitening will be seen when used regularly for a longer period - six weeks - and used according to the manufacturers directions (the longer the active components stay in the mouth the better the whitening and gum protection results). Janina Diamond Whitening Toothpaste is recommended for people with heavy tooth staining e.g. nicotine, red wine or coffee.

There are many other whitening toothpastes currently available, all claiming to whiten teeth. These other whitening toothpastes are, however, just mere stain removers, containing no actual whitening ingredients. The BBC Television Programme Health Watchdog acknowledged that Janina Tooth Whitening products were the only products (compared with other known whitening toothpaste brands) which contain ingredients with the ability to whiten teeth.

Not only does Janina Diamond Whitening Toothpaste deliver the cosmetic benefit of whiter teeth it also offers the ULTIMATE ORAL HEALTH PROTECTION - Janina Diamond Whitening Toothpaste
  • helps control halitosis (bad breath)
  • helps sensitive teeth
  • helps prevent decay
These added benefits are achieved by the action of ingredients included in this Extra Strength version of the revolutionary Janina Tooth Whitening Formulation.

Whitening
Janina Diamond Whitening Toothpaste is clinically proven to whiten teeth safely.

Janina Diamond Whitening Toothpaste is an extra strength faster acting version of Janina Opale Whitening Toothpaste because the formula contains an increased amount of select ingredients:
  • 20% more of the natural fruit enzymes (Bromelaine & Papain) for the removal of stubborn staining and inhibit bacterial growth
  • Sodium Hydroxide, Urea Peroxide & Sodium Persulphate whitening agents & anti-halitosis (bad breath).
Janina Diamond Whitening Toothpaste uses Cosmeceutical Component Whitening to achieve its whitening results.

Cosmeceutical Component Whitening involves the use of multi-component peroxides which produce 0.1% hydrogen peroxide (as is the legal limit), the patented Bromain Complex™ (including the enzymes Bromelaine from pineapple and Papain from papaya.) and 12 active ingredients.

Hydrogen peroxide is an effective oxidising agent which has a low molecular mass and an ability to denature proteins (stops the adhesion), therefore assisting in movement and keeping the surface clean. Because hydrogen peroxide has these properties it is able to permeate enamel and dentine resulting in effective intrinsic (internal) and extrinsic (external) stain removal.

Under normal circumstances 0.1% hydrogen peroxide would have no bleaching effect due the small amount in the product. It is these multi-component peroxides together with the enzymes in the Bromain Complex™ which is able to facilitate the whitening effect of 3% hydrogen peroxide but maintain a concentration of 0.1% hydrogen peroxide.

The extra enzymes in the Diamond Whitening Toothpaste, act as catalysts, speeding up the whitening process. This is why Janina Diamond Whitening Toothpaste is recommended for people with heavy tooth staining e.g. nicotine, red wine or coffee.

Noticeable whitening results will be seen when just a pea size amount per brushing of Janina Diamond Whitening Toothpaste is used twice daily regularly and in place of any other toothpaste.

Significant whitening will be seen when used regularly for a longer period six weeks - and used according to the manufacturers directions (the longer the active components stay in the mouth the better whitening and gum protection results).

Health Which?, the independent consumer magazine, has awarded Janina with the highest rating for the quality of clinical research. Health Which? evaluated research provided by the 19 best selling whitening toothpastes to support their claims that teeth were whiter and brighter after regular use. Janina scored the highest rating but shocking results revealed that some leading brands scored poorly and others scored zero!

Non-abrasive, safe for everyday use
Janina Diamond Whitening Toothpaste is a non abrasive product safe for everyday use. The formulation does not contain any silica (sand) or hydrated silica to abrade the enamel during brushing.

Janina Diamond Whitening Toothpaste has an RDA (Relative Dentine Abrasion) of 30. The RDA of other well known whitening toothpastes ranges between 80-180 acting like sandpaper or an emery board on teeth.

Dentists and hygienists recommend Janina Diamond Whitening Toothpaste for daily use because the product is non-abrasive and therefore will not promote tooth abrasion.

The Dental Profession also recommends Janina Diamond Whitening Toothpaste for use with an electric toothbrush because it is non-abrasive. Most known whitening toothpaste brands contain silica or hydrated silica in the formulation. The silica acts like sandpaper and rubs away the protective enamel from the surface of the tooth. This causes sensitivity and teeth to be more susceptible to dental caries.

An added benefit of using of the non abrasive Janina Diamond Whitening Toothpaste with an electric toothbrush is that the mechanics and head of the brush will not get blocked up with silica residue and fail to operate as happens when toothpaste containing silica is used.

Halitosis (bad breath) control
Janina Diamond Whitening Toothpaste is clinically proven to protect against halitosis (bad breath).

Janina Diamond Whitening Toothpaste offers extra strength breath control than the Opale Toothpaste because it contains more 20% more of the natural fruit enzymes (Bromelaine & Papain) to remove stubborn staining and inhibit bacterial growth. The extra enzymes in the Diamond formulation act as catalysts - speeding up reaction times (this is why Janina Diamond Whitening Toothpaste is recommended for people who suffer from very bad breath). The oxidation reaction oxidises the sulphur compounds that cause halitosis (bad breath) quicker, helping to eliminate the problem.

NOTE: Sodium Hydroxide, Urea Peroxide & Sodium Persulphate whitening agents & anti-halitosis.

Patients suffering from active periodontitis (gum disease) have high levels of volatile sulphur compounds with the resultant smell of sulphides and mercaptans being generated. The deeper the periodontal pocket (the gap between gum and root of tooth) the higher the production of these sulphides and mercaptans. This problem is particularly acute with smokers who will immediately feel the benefit of using Janina Diamond Whitening Toothpaste.

Patients with good periodontal health also suffer from halitosis, such as the stale coffee breath or when they havent eaten for a number of hours.

THERE ARE THREE MAIN WAYS OF TREATING HALITOSIS
  1. ATTACK THE BACTERIA ON THE TEETH, TONGUE AND GUM MARGINS
This is achieved by using Janina Diamond Whitening Toothpaste because Zinc Citrate and Enzymes are contained in the unique formulation.

  2. BLOCK OR REMOVE THE SUBSTRATES THAT PRODUCE SULPHUR
This may be achieved by oxidation of the phial groups by methaline such as zinc which is contained in Janina Diamond Whitening Toothpaste.

  3. INCREASE THE SALIVARY FLOW
This takes place immediately with use of Janina Diamond Whitening Toothpaste.
Everyday protection
Janina Diamond Whitening Toothpaste delivers the cosmetic benefit of whiter teeth, and it also offers the Ultimate Oral Health Protection. As well as 12 active ingredients there are a further 8 ingredients contained in the unique Janina Whitening Toothpaste formulation to ensure the best oral health protection. Janina Diamond Whitening Toothpaste has a balanced pH of 7 (approx) It is non-abrasive and will not cause any damage to the dental tissues or restorations.

Janina Diamond Whitening Toothpaste contains:
  • Sodium Monofluorophosphate
at the optimum level of 1400 parts per million, to help prevent caries and decay

  • Zinc Citrate
is effective against plaque build-up, gingivitis, and help prevent the development of gum disease

  • Papain and Bromelaine
(enzymes derived from pineapple and papaya) remove proteins and inhibit bacterial growth, reducing disease, staining and stimulating the salivary flow, which acts as a natural defence. This is why Janina Diamond Whitening Toothpaste is recommended for people with heavy tooth staining.

  • Xylitol
Assists in the reduction of plaque micro-organisms

  • Sodium Laurylsulphate
    acts as an anti-bacterial detergent

  • Tetrapotassium Pyrophosphate
reduces the development of calculus and tartar

  • Sodium Bicarbonate
    neutralises plaque acids

  • Sodium Citrate
    helps reduce sensitivity.

JANINA LIQUID WHITENING TOOTHPASTE SPRAY IS A NON ABRASIVE WHITENING LIQUID TOOTHPASTE IN A REVOLUTIONARY SPRAY FORMAT. IT IS A SPRAY VERSION OF JANINA OPALE WHITENING TOOTHPASTE. IT IS THE ONLY PRODUCT OF ITS KIND IN THE WORLD.

Janina Liquid Toothpaste Spray can be used with or without a brush. It will whiten teeth, is non abrasive and safe for everyday use (it is even less abrasive than mineral water).

Janina Liquid Toothpaste Spray will also help prevent halitosis (bad breath) and help reduce sensitivity.

Janina Liquid Toothpaste Spray contains the same number of ingredients as in Janina Opale Whitening Toothpaste (bar two - Dicalcium Phosphate and Xanthan Gum which takes the formulation to a paste consistency.) It contains 10 active ingredients and the Bromain Complex™.

Janina Liquid Toothpaste Spray is easy and convenient to use. It can be used without a toothbrush or water. Just spray two to three shots into your mouth and swish for 30 seconds (minimum, preferably 2-3 minutes as is recommended for brushing) then spit out or swallow. Spraying and Swishing causes the enzyme based formulation to remove plaque, prevent bad breath and keep teeth and gums healthy.

“Spraying and Swishing” with Janina Liquid Toothpaste Spray creates a capillary action between the tooth and the gum margin therefore sucking down into the pocket (between the gum and the tooth) to disperse a small dose of active ingredients, sustaining a reservoir effect in the mouth. The gradual release of these active ingredients throughout the day offers continuous protection from harmful bacteria.

Janina Liquid Toothpaste Spray is ideal for the traveller and those with an active lifestyle. It also offers a solution for those with special needs e.g. people who find it difficult to brush their teeth with a toothbrush - Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinsons disease or disabled and handicapped people.

Janina Liquid Toothpaste Spray is very suitable for people wearing an orthodontic appliance - brace. It can also be used with a toothbrush, just spray into the mouth or spray directly on to the toothbrush and brush as normal.

Whitening
Janina Liquid Toothpaste Spray is clinically proven to whiten teeth safely.

Janina Liquid Toothpaste Spray uses Cosmeceutical Component Whitening to achieve its whitening results.

Cosmeceuetical Component whitening involves the use of multi-component Peroxides (which produce 0.1% hydrogen peroxide), the patented Bromain Complex™ (including the enzymes Bromelaine from pineapple and Papain from papaya and 10 active ingredients.

The spray formula includes Sodium Fluoride which delivers phenonomonal results when used with Diamond or Opale Toothpaste both of which contain Sodium Monofluorophosphate. The Dental Profession continue to debate which fluoride is best, strong cases exist to support both types of fluoride. The Janina Tooth Whitening product range offers both types of fluoride. One in the toothpaste and the other in the liquid spray. Therefore brushing is only required once to debris (last thing at night) followed by regular use of Janina Liquid Toothpaste Spray throughout the day.

Hydrogen peroxide is an effective oxidising agent which has a low molecular mass and an ability to denature proteins (stops the adhesion), therefore assisting in movement and keeping the surface clean. JANINA OPTIMA is a revolutionary MOUTH RINSE formulation which will eliminate bad breath and whiten teeth. It contains 12 active ingredients. It is dispensed as a SPRAY to guarantee the ultimate in HYGIENE and EASE OF USE.

Most other mouth rinse containers are large in size but contain very few active ingredients. Most other mouth rinses contain just fluoride as an active ingredient and are bulked up with water and flavour. Many contain alcohol which has been proven to cause mouth cancer. Most other mouth rinse containers have a cap as the doser. This is non-hygienic and raises questions of cross contamination when used by more than one person.

What does Optima Mouth Rinse do?
  • Eliminates bad breath compounds VSCs (Volatile Sulphur Compounds)

  • Kills bacteria (the cause of gum problems)

  • Whitens teeth (whitening Bromain Complex™)

  • Helps sensitive teeth

  • Helps prevent plaque

  • Helps prevent tooth decay

Why does Optima Mouth Rinse work?
OPTIMA mouth rinse formulation contains 12 active ingredients to eliminate, not mask, bad breath compounds. [It does not contain alcohol]. The formulation contains the Bromain Complex™ (a patented combination of natural fruit enzymes) to whiten teeth safely. The formulation will remove plaque and have an instant feel effect. Plaque causes VSCs (Volatile Sulphur Compounds) which in turn cause bad breath and gum problems. OPTIMA mouth rinse will help prevent tooth decay and help sensitive teeth. The unique formulation has been clinically tested and proven - as published by a leading UK University.

Key ingredients
  • Xylitol - Kills bacterial (sweetener)

DOES NOT CONTAIN ALCOHOL

What is the difference between Janina Optima Mouth Rinse and Janina Liquid Toothpaste Spray?
The Liquid Toothpaste Spray is an alternative to the Opale Whitening toothpaste. It is a toothpaste in a spray format. It contains virtually the same ingredients as the toothpaste except for the gum ingredient that takes the formulation to a paste consistency. It is designed for use with or without a toothbrush.

The Optima Mouth Rinse is a rinse - to be used after brushing to enhance the brushing results. It contains the core formulation of the Janina family of products including the revolutionary Bromain Complex™.

Who should use Optima Mouth Rinse and how often should it be used?
OPTIMA mouth rinse is recommended for adults and children over 12 who desire fresh breath, healthy teeth and gums and white teeth.

OPTIMA mouth rinse is recommended for everyday use.

Is Optima Mouth Rinse easy to use?
OPTIMA mouth rinse is so easy to use. Spray between 5(1ml) and 10(2ml) shots directly into the mouth. Then swish and gargle for 1 to 2 minutes and then spit out. Best results are achieved the longer the rinse is in the mouth. Active ingredients will continue to maintain 24-hour protection for that confidence of fresh breath.

How does Optima Mouth Rinse compare to other mouth rinses?
PERFORMANCE - The Optima formulation contains 12 active ingredients to eliminate (not mask) bad breath compounds and promote lasting good oral hygiene. Most other mouth rinses/washes contain as few as 2 active ingredients which only mask bad breath. No other mouth rinse available is capable of helping to fight decay, gum disease, sensitivity, freshen breath and whiten teeth.

WHITENING - Optima is the only mouth rinse which will WHITEN TEETH. At least one other known brand mouth rinse will actually stain teeth. OPTIMA mouth rinse contains the revolutionary Bromain Complex™ (a patented combination of natural fruit enzymes) to WHITEN teeth safely.

It is the only whitening mouth rinse to conform to the EU regulation which does not allow a tooth whitening formulation to produce more than 0.1% Hydrogen Peroxide.

HYGIENE - Optima's dispensing method is by far superior for hygiene than a cap in that it prevents cross contamination. Studies, recently published, have proved that sharing dispensing caps can cause cross contamination. Sharing the cap by more than one person or using directly from the bottle can cause bacteria contamination. Bacteria causes gum disease and therefore this will be transmitted from one user to the next.

VALUE - To obtain the benefits of OPTIMA mouth rinse you would have to purchase at least SIX other individual products.

Optima Mouth Rinse contains between 50 and 100 doses. [Recommended dose: 5 to 10 shots (= 1-2ml)]. Other brands of mouth rinse (which use the cap as the recommended dose) dispense 10ml therefore offer only 30 doses (approx) per container.

SHELF LIFE - Our formulation does not deteriorate with time therefore has an indefinite shelf life. Most other mouthwashes loose their potency in a short range of time.

FLAVOUR - It has a light mint flavour with a hint of orange. There is no unpleasant after taste as with many mouth rinses.

Janina Whitening Toothpaste is in the “Premium Product” category because it has been acknowledged by leaders in the dental health profession as revolutionary in the field of oral health. This is because Janina Whitening Toothpaste is the only whitening toothpaste clinically proven to whiten teeth and also for its superior ability to take care of the whole oral cavity.

Janina Whitening Toothpaste is expensive because it contains 20 ingredients of which 12 are active, whereas most known brands contain a maximum of 3 active ingredients. Janina Whitening Toothpaste is considerably more expensive to manufacture but the results deliver considerably more to the consumer, consistently achieving the number one rating when compared with other whitening products.

It is presented in an aesthetically pleasing pump designed to compliment the unique formulation and offer a pleasant and efficient delivery of the product.

To compare Janina’s cost to other ‘toothpastes’ you would need to add many items such as;
  • A whitening kit form your dentist - about £200 - £400
  • Plus an anti-caries toothpaste - say £1.50
  • Plus an anti-gingivitis toothpaste - say £1.50
  • Plus an anti-bad breath product - say £8 (eg retarDEX)
  • Plus an anti-plaque toothpaste - say £1.50 etc
  • Also, it is only necessary to use a pea sized quantity per brushing, which is significantly less than that required of the average toothpaste product.
Noticeable whitening results will be seen when just a pea size amount per brushing of Janina Whitening Toothpaste is used twice daily regularly and in place of any other toothpaste. Significant whitening will be seen when used regularly for a longer period - six weeks - and used according to the manufacturers directions (the longer the active components stay in the mouth the better whitening and gum protection results).
